Jeff's little girl meets Keith Urban! Jeff, age 35, of Normandy, TN got his wish to see his first concert with his little girl, Sara. Jeff's cancer had spread to his Kidneys and his wife contacted us about a dream he had. Jeff wanted to do something special with his little girl that she would remember for a lifetime. He knew that he would not see her graduate or walk her down the isle at her wedding so he wanted to bring her to her first concert. Little Sara always danced and sang to several country artists and really liked Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
Granting Dreams was able to bring the family into town where they stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Place Hotel. They were treated to a nice dinner after which Jeff returned to the hotel to rest before the big night. Granting Dreams supprised Mom and Sara with a shopping spree at the Opry Mills Mall to pick out a new, head-to-toe outfit for their concert at the Grand Ole Opry later that evening. Miss Sara looked adorable in her new dress, vest and boots! While at the mall, Sara was also treated to the Build-a-Bear shop where she was able to put together her puppy - complete with doggy's bed, collar and leash, and a cute outfit. It was emotional for Linda, the founder of Granting Dreams, to watch as Sara tucked the little heart into the puppy's body. With no time to spare, they were brought back to their hotel to get ready for the night.
Not only did they get to see a spectacular show full of great artists at the Grand Ole Opry that evening, but they were also treated to a meet and greet with Keith Urban backstage! We were informed that Ms. Sara had a little pink guitar with her to have signed by Keith and was able to meet Vince Gill, who signed it as well.
The following day, there was a heartfelt message of thanks left on the office voice-mail. It was thanking the Granting Dreams Foundation for all that they did to make this a very special day full of memories that the family will cherish and remember for a lifetime.
Our Special Thanks To: Keith Urban and His Management Team Vince Gill Grand Ole Opry and dedicated Staff Kind donors from GA and NY whose donations made it possible for this dream to become reality
